This Privacy Policy explains how HaulSimple ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our trucking management platform.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email, company name, DOT/MC numbers, phone.
- Operational data: loads, customers, drivers, trucks, invoices, expenses, PODs, and documents you upload.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers — only the last 4 digits and a token.
- Usage data: log data, device info, IP address, and analytics events to improve the service.
- Cookies: session cookies for authentication and limited analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the service.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Send transactional emails (receipts, account notifications, system alerts).
- Respond to support requests.
- Detect fraud and enforce our Terms.
- Improve features and develop new ones.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your data. We share limited data only with:
- Stripe — payment processing and tax compliance.
- Supabase / Cloud infrastructure — hosting, database, and authentication.
- Email delivery providers — for transactional and account emails.
- AI providers — for AI-assisted features (data is not used to train third-party models).
- Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect our rights.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After cancellation, you may export your data within 30 days. We delete or anonymize personal data within 90 days of account deletion, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records).
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and logged. We perform regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong password and enable 2FA when available.
6. Your Rights
You may, at any time:
- Access, update, or correct your information from your account settings.
- Export your operational data in CSV format.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Opt out of non-essential email communications.
If you are in the EU/UK, you have additional rights under GDPR (data portability, restriction, objection).
7. Children's Privacy
HaulSimple is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. International Transfers
We process data in the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the US.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice before they take effect.
